Disciple Bible Study is a long term Bible study developed in cooperation with a variety of Old & New Testament Scholars for the United Methodist church. First United Methodist Church of Hays, KS will host a Disciple 1 study course this year.
This is a 34 week study lead by Rev. Delbert Stanton. The timeline for this study might run from September through May. This study will enhance your discipleship. The study runs as a book by book, chapter by chapter survey of the Bible.

All American Breakfast to benefit TMP Drama Club. Breakfast served from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on
Sunday, September 5 at the American Legion.
As part of our outreach ministry to the United Methodist Campus Center, Church & Society is again
asking for your help to provide a dessert or salad for their Tuesday night Chat & Chew meal and
worship. If you could help this fall semester, please call the church office or Wendy Beougher (625-5703).

If you could be a substitute bus driver for the Kids Club, please call the church office or Pastor Berniece.
A CDL license is needed but is easily obtained to be a driver. Driving time is from 2:45-3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Calling all artists regardless of age or ability! We are asking people to submit their personal artwork to be displayed on the front cover of the bulletin. We would love to honor and share the talent God has given you! We will use these original pieces of art as often as we have them so start drawing and turn them in to the church office.
Spiritual Journey Book Club! is open to all Junior High and High School Students. We will meet Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. here at the church. Good Times, Good Music, and Good Friends! The Chancel Choir invites you to use your God-given-gift
to give meaning direction, and hope to others through our ministry of music. Come join us on Wednesday
evenings beginning August 25, from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Enjoy weekly rehearsals where
you will engage in meaningful fellowship and music-making and leave refreshed and energized. If you
cannot commit to rehearsal every week, please feel welcome to join us as your schedule allows. If you
have questions, please give Johnny Matlock, or a Chancel Choir member, or call the church office. The
FUMC Chancel Choir is more than the music, .it's ministry, it's people, it's growing to be more like
Jesus!
Kids Club: Kids Club for K-5 will be starting on Wednesday, September 8, 2010. Registrations will be
accepted through September 1, 2010. Registration forms will be mailed out and/or can be picked up in the
church office.
Youth Group: Jr. & Sr. High Youth Group is going to have an exciting year and we can't wait to get it
started. Our first meeting will be on September 12. Watch your mailbox and the bulletin for details and
